Formulated with second-generation GongJinBiDan solution which calls upon a complex mix of Qi-invigorating traditional herbs such as atractylodes macrocephala, tangerine peel, astragalus and Korean dates, to achieve skin regeneration through natural metabolic cycle. The โroyal yeastโ, which is separated and purified by the method of brewing koji, was exclusively used by the royal family in the Goryeo period, facilitating water transport in AQP (Aquaporins) and promoting blood circulation of the skin.
The First-Step Serum is formulated with the light golden "JieYu pill". It contains herbal ingredients that improve the harmony of the five elements (pine, goji berry, yam, ginseng, rehmannia root), as well as five-flavour berry, which can eliminate blockage in blood circulation and relieve skin puffiness. Lotus flower extract calms and purifies, with antioxidants that protects and creates the ultimate pure skin.

Getting started
Patch test first โ dab a little on your inner forearm or behind the ear and leave it a day before using it on your face. Introduce one new product at a time, a week or two apart, so you can tell what your skin is responding to. If anything stings, itches, or turns red, stop using it.
Where it goes in your routine
K-beauty layers thin to thick: cleanser โ toner โ essence, serum, or ampoule โ moisturizer, and sunscreen last every morning. Let each layer settle for a moment before the next one โ no need to wait for it to dry completely.

What not to layer at once
Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), vitamin C, and retinal are best kept apart โ alternate them across mornings and evenings, or across days, rather than stacking them in one sitting. See the layering map for what pairs safely with what.
Storing your products
- Keep everything in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight โ a shelf away from the shower steam beats the windowsill or the car.
- Close caps and droppers tightly. Vitamin C keeps its potency longest sealed and away from heat.
- Water-light textures like essences and ampoules are best finished within their open-jar period.
- No need to refrigerate โ but a sheet mask chilled for ten minutes is a nice touch in summer.
Reading the date on Korean packaging
Korean cosmetics print dates as year-month-day (for example, 2027.03.15), with two common markings:
- ๊น์ง (kkaji) or EXP โ use by this date.
- ์ ์กฐ (jejo) โ the date it was made, not the expiry.
